Note from our Chair

“We are extremely fortunate that Laurel Bellows, president of the American Bar Association, accepted our invitation to speak at the Summit Luncheon. I first met Laurel when she and I were working together on a committee about salary equity as part of the Vision 2020 national meeting last year. In accepting the presidency of the ABA, Laurel said “I would not be true to myself if I did not use my office to continue to speak out on issues of equality and diversity. I believe that the quality of our lives is directly correlated to the quality of the laws that govern us”. These are the core values of an extraordinary woman who is in a position to make a difference for women. “--Yvonne Wood
